Remote-first. No office requirement.
We sync when we need to, async by default. Writing is the primary medium. If it isn't written down, it didn't happen.
MongoQUI is a small, remote-first team building the MongoDB workspace we wished existed. We keep this page honest: no fake role postings, no stock testimonials. Send a note and we'll file it.
We're a small team building a modern MongoDB workspace: a native desktop app that pairs a keyboard-first GUI with an AI query assistant, a BI-grade Report Builder, team sharing, RBAC and enterprise-grade security.
We're built in the UAE, remote-first, and small on purpose. We don't have VP-of-Fake-Title roles, ping-pong tables, or a careers page full of stock photos. When we open a role, it will be listed here, not scraped out of a template. Until then, if you're the kind of engineer or operator who reads the changelog for fun, write to us. We read everything.
The best hires we've ever made introduced themselves months before we had a role open.
Filter in people who like how we operate. Filter out everyone else. This isn't a wish-list. This is the operating manual.
We sync when we need to, async by default. Writing is the primary medium. If it isn't written down, it didn't happen.
Core overlap is GMT+4 business hours, Sunday through Thursday. ±4 hours works well. Deep-work blocks matter more than presenteeism.
Engineers ship end-to-end. There's no PM → engineer → QA hand-off. You own the feature from spec to production to post-incident review.
We cut rolling dev builds weekly and release meaningful improvements constantly. The changelog is the scoreboard. See /changelog.
Decisions happen in writing. PRs, design docs and post-mortems are the currency. Meetings are for unblocking, not status updates.
Deep ownership, pragmatic reviews, no performance theatre. We hire people who disagree with us gracefully, and who have the receipts.
We don't promise things we can't back up. If something says to be confirmed, that's because it is.
Questions on the package before applying? Email careers@mongoqui.com. We'll give you a straight answer.
No role open right now. We use this to build a pipeline so, when one opens, we already know who to call. You'll hear from a real engineer, not an ATS.
Low-pressure chat with the team. We talk about what you've built and what you're looking for. No scripted screen.
A working session on real problems: architecture, trade-offs, how you reason under ambiguity. No whiteboard trivia.
A small, scoped problem close to what we do day-to-day. Time-boxed. We pay for your time if the take-home exceeds ~3 hours.
Final step. We talk direction, expectations, compensation, and make a decision on the spot where we can.
Something we missed? Drop it in the form note field. We'll answer when we reply.
One real human, one real inbox. No ATS in the way. Attach a résumé, a repo, or a favourite post-mortem. We'll reply.
